Shaun Rolly is a really fun and interesting pirate with a knack for jumping off the deep end without a plan. He'll tell us about becoming a trained stuntman and how that led him to create a pirate musical with as much swordplay and action as there is music.
Today's show is sponsored by:
Anything Goes Vermont - Unique handmade goods for your favorite pirate.
Plus comedy from Robert Duchaine and of course, music from "A Pirate's Tale". Plus I'll play you one of my own songs that was thoroughly inspired by Prince.

O'Craven is a great band with the very specific niche of Irish Pirate Rock, from San Jose, CA. In this interview we dig into how they stumbled across the music they were meant to be playing. We also talk a lot about how being way different from most bands has helped them stand out in a positive way.
Bonus! Since the band and I are in the same town, I finally got to do an in-person interview! Thankfully I thought ahead enough to get video of the proceedings too. And since I had video of the interview, I figured I'd film my talky parts before and after the interview too, just for fun.

Benerson Little is the author of five non-fiction books on piracy and sea roving plus a novel with sequels to come. He's considered a leading expert of piracy past and present, and is the historical consultant for Black Sails on the Starz network. He's also a former Navy Seal and fencing expert.
If there's anyone that's got all his pirate bases covered, Ben is that guy. We dig into some of his many books, his thoughts on Black Sails, plenty of fencing stuff, and more. This show is chock full and I still feel like we barely got to enough stuff.

We'll dig into her interesting take on the Peter Pan story (title spoiler - it's more about Captain Hook) and why that story has such longevity. And we couldn't leave without talking about her take as a critic on the best and worst Peter Pan movies.
