Jess Dobie is co-owner of Switch Sails in Brisbane, Australia. They specialize in sails for yachts and racing ships. They've also made sails for some of your favorite pirate films.
We'll find out about the cutting edge in modern sail-making and the growing number of people retiring on the sea instead of in a Winnebago.
We'll also catch up with author Jenai Marek (previously heard in ep 128) about her new book and her efforts to bring a pirate festival to Galveston, TX.
You can sign Jenai's Galveston pirate fest petition here.

Marc Paquien is the creator of the board game "Treasure Island". In the game, one player "hides" the treasure and the other players ask questions and make calculations to find it.
Beyond that simple description, it's a game with all sorts of unique angles. We talk about Marc's creative process when designing a new game including how he works from the idea of evoking a particular emotion with the game rather than just being concerned with game dynamics right away.
There's also some good stuff in here about surrounding yourself with people that will be a positive influence on you accomplishing things you want to do.

Moonsun Kim is the creator of the pirate web comic "Whispers in the Wind".

Daniel Bjorkbacka aka Joe Blackheart is the founder and banjo player of Sweden's Pat Razket.
We dig into the band's background as a party and wedding band, the idea to become pirates, and the moment that convinced them to have a great show but also work harder on their music.
And work harder, they have! Their 2nd album Deeds and Debts is fantastic. And you can get it right here: https://amzn.to/2GlsG3c
